A real spiderman

By

His most recent venture – and most remarkable feat to date – has been to scale the 1,482 feet Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the third tallest building in the world. Apparently, he reached the top so quickly that no security personnel noticed him or detained. However, he was reported to have been arrested for trespassing on completing the feat. This time, he was not wearing his Spiderman costume, although this does not appear to have hindered his ascent.

Alain’s Spiderman costume unfortunately does not protect him from injury. He has suffered seven serious falls, with the worst one occurring in 1982. He fell fifty feet after his anchor and rope gave way during training and had three operations. Chillingly, he says that he is a gambler by nature, which means that he likes to gamble with his life – he likes the “buzz” – and that one day he will lose the gamble. Let’s hope that he keeps on being a winner!

Wow! This man is really amazing like the real Spiderman! I’ve seen some of his pictures and videos doing those stunts and man, how I wish I could do the same thing. Only thing is, I’m afraid of heights, but I would like to conquer it as what this man had conquered his vertigo, and look at him now, he could climb world’s tallest buildings notwithstanding any obstacles.

I guess the one thing they cant redo is the web spray he uses. Can you imagine covering it over everyone at your party? What a mess.
Never mind there are enough other things to copy and become this guy.

I saw the first spiderman movie in the latest screen releases and was mesmerised by the graphics. Spiderman moves around buildings just like in the comics and the green goblin really looked like he was flying around on his skateboard. With out the recent developments in screen cgi techniques, it would not have been possible to make the characters so true to the comic books that i read as a kid. It stirred my memories of wanting to dress up as spiderman.

  4. David Hamilton says:

I think is was about 1965 when i got hooked on the spiderman comics . Something about his personal life like aunt may and his girls friends and problems at school. It just seemed so much more than the older superman type of story line. I guess he has been my hero ever since.

  5. Wilfred says:

It will be interesting to see how they develop the character into a middle age. Will he still be able to fly around the rooftops
How will they depict his love life?
I mean we followed him from high school now where will go go next?

  6. Wilfred says:

Spidermasn is so popular that those of us on the edge tend to use him as a role model. I’ve read many stories of people, dressing up as spiderman for different ends.Th worst scenarios are those where the mask is used to hide identity as they carry out a crime.
Not what the original writer Stan Lee and others would ever have imagined.

  7. Andrea Turner says:

Well i relate more strongly to his girlfiend than to spiderman himself. Just how must she feel when he tales off one of those skyscrapers and then when he gets into trouble with someone, she gets in to danger as well.
I;d rather have a traditional life where i know what my partner is doing for his full time job

It has been many years since i read a spiderman comic book. I remember living it when they appeared at my newsagent a a 15 years old. I recently picked one up and read some pages, but i just couldn’t feel that same excitement. So i guess there is a time and a place for everything in your life and you do move on.

I really was impressed with the way they brought the green goblin to life on a space age skateboard. I know these boards did not exist when the comic was originaly release but they seem to fit so well with this character.
